Hey im new to this forum and im looking to buy a new G35C, but I only have a little under 30K to spend on a car, has anyone heard of people getting the G35 Base without leather for under 30k? thx

 

The MSRP is under 30k and you shouldn't have to pay more than that. You will likely have to order it though. Tax, title, and license will probably push it over 30, but it shouldn't be by much.

 

You're better off calling all around the country to find a car like that. My dealer never got one in without leather and a sunroof.

Like Blazac said, don't hold your breath...Infiniti is a luxury line, and to them leather standard means luxury.

I had to order my base base base cloth coupe and had to wait for 4 or so months. Base coupe only comes with one interior, willow cloth, and no options, so make sure you understand that. I lived with it, and I don't regret it, I never used my sunroof in my previous car, and I don't care about an upgraded stereo/homelink/navi/leather/bla/bla/bla. I don't care about the 18"s as I can buy myself some better ones for less. I got it at around $29,658 or so, can't remember the exact cost, but that was without taxes and fees. It's still the same car, no matter if it costs $30k or $37k, underneath it all, it's still the same monster everyone came to love (excluding the fact that you can't get LSD with base coupe...but who cares...).

You won't find many people here (or anywhere) that order the most basic coupe with cloth, it's a rarity, and thats why you won't find ANY on the lots ANYWHERE. But if you do, you get a cookie from me.

It's realy hard to find a base g35 coupe. I had to order mine. Mine is a black g35 coupe with cloth. It came out with tax and everything to be $32k. So it is possible to get it, but i'm waiting till september to get it. And it's an 04 if you order it now.

 

Have u guys try to order the top top model but no sunroof ?? It is because I want one like that. I am in Canada, dealer right here cant do it for me and I know US can customize the car...Do u think I can do it in State..Thank U

 

i ordered and had to wait for 6MTc with sun roof but no premium package.

wanted sun roof and specific color.

 

To the original poster: You might want to consider the 350Z. There's far more base models of those hanging around Nissan lots, and they'll save you several thousand. I know it's not the same as a G though.

To the poster I'm replying to: You can't get an otherwise fully loaded Coupe without a moonroof in the States. I doubt there's anything we can custom order here that you can't in Canada. It's just a matter of whether your dealer wants to play ball.

I really hate "packages" for cars. All I would really want is leather seats and the Navigation unit. I didn't want a moonroof or the Blose audio. I've seen worse though. I was playing around with building an RX-8 on their website, and it costs almost $4000 to add leather seats because they make you take all this other crap with them. That's outrageous on a $25k car. I'm thinking of visiting a Mazda dealer and pretending to be interested in buying one, just so I can dramatically storm out of there when they bring that up. Let them know that crap isn't acceptable, before others start copying it.

yeah i was considering the 350z for a while but i found my insure would be off the roof if i did get it.. something having to do with only being a 2 seater ..
