nismo cai - warrenty and ac line?

if a nismo cai is isntalled on the g by a nissan or infiniti dealer, can the dealer void warrenty? i know that they have to prove the mod directly caused the issue, but do they even have that oppertunity if the part is nismo and installed by dealer? also, does the nismo cai have the ac line issue? any feedback would be appreciated.

It most certainly has the ac line issue.
I think that the dealer would be hard pressed to void your warranty.

Sorry, but I have the NISMO CAI and it doesn't have the AC line issue. It's the Pop-charger that has the AC line issue.

Dealer will have to prove that the CAI caused the problem to void any warranties.

He can hardly deny warranty if he installs the part for you. If there's any issue it could be attributed to him.
Look for clearance issues between the CAI and the A/C lines to make sure there's no interference.

thx for the feedback everyone! i have been a member on this board for 2+ years, drooled over the g for over a year (since around `03), and finally got mine in 07/04. always have found this board the best and coolest. of course, there are flamers here too, but, omg, try the other boards!

anyway, i still think my g is the BOMB and i have driven many decently quick cars before (i.e. mustang 5.0 with intake/exhaust/chip, miata <- car was fun, but was only fast for the platform, mitsu starion <- 1st car ever, tons of boost, gti, cadillac sevillie <- dont ask, i dunno why either)

anyway, i was so happy with low end torque on this car, cause my last was nissan xterra for a 5 year lease {omg...afer that, a buick lesabre would be fun)

the cars 1st anniversery is coming up with me and now i have noticed it is not that great between 1k-3.5k, even after reseting ecu. i have jsut gotten used to it too much.

i guess my point is, I NEED TO START MODDING! 1 year anniversery and the honey moon is over! i almost thought about trading the g for a 05 mustang gt, but i love her to much to do it.

ok, gah, im pretty wasted and this is the longest post i have ever written. in conclusion, thanks for the help and please keep everyone here informed on what we can do with the g to help it keep up with the competition now days (you notice the competition was alseep until the g came out?)

peace out, you all

"long post", weaksauce.

(post edited for grammatical errors, but there are still 1000 in there)

^agreed^. The Nismo CAI is an S-Tune item... ...which does not affect warrant AND the part itself keeps it's warranty intact if installed by a Nissan/Infiniti dealer.

1Gig; I strongly suggest that you take a look at the clearance between the CAI and the A/C lines.

Weaksauce (huh); careful with the mod fever...it costs

No problems at all.

I never heard there were problems with the NISMO intake. The only problem I heard was for the JW pop-charger where the hose fastner was grinding on the AC hose.
