Well I took a few pics with the stock suspension and 19" Volks. Its definately up there but I dont think its really that bad I was just used to it being really low to the ground. Its kinda hard to see with the shadows but you get the point.

Not too bad at all, looks better than my Maxima with oversized profile tires on Eibachs! Thanks for the pics. How dark is your tint, man you're gonna get pulled over somewhere

Well my dilemma of whether i should drop it or not has now been answered....Which will be a firm NO! Smart move.....Your car still looks good with the stock suspension on

^ I agree.....my dilemma has been answered as well. I too will just go with new rims and leave the suspension alone. Phx, I think your car on stock springs looks just fine.

Hey Finiti35, what rims are you looking at....Volks? Also, if you go with the 19", wouldn't your ride height/gap be the same as with the stock rims on your '05?

as much as I'd love to lower, I too found so many clearance issues even at stock height. Worst place ever was some of the 50s era parking garages over in Savannah and Charleston (road trip). OMG. Even at an angle, I scraped alittle. I avoid new speed bumps.. although they are ok after a few months of use.

I think your stock height looks fine.. the Volks rock.

No, not getting Volks, but they'll be 19" with 35 series tires. The wheel gap will be more or less the same, but somehow it looks more acceptable with stock wheels, or maybe I'm just too used to how it looks for it to bother me. But with aftermarket wheels the wheel gap stands out a bit more.

I agree.....aftermarket wheels do seem to enhance the gap for some reason. However, I think the darker the color of the car, the less dramatic the gap looks. Black colored cars seem to hide the gap better than most colors.......your blue should hide it pretty well.

I know my IP will scream out, "HEY EVERYBODY......LOOK AT THIS GAP!!!!"

get your car aligned again if you haven't already. You now have too much toe-in.

That's because you got the S-Techs for the G. The specs on them are WAY off of stock and they SHOULD loosen up the rear end of the car quite a bit. (That's what they're designed to do). Look into roll rates, understeer/oversteer, spring rates, etc... if you think I'm pulling your leg.

TEIN H-Techs for the 350z will give you a nice drop that is a little higher than the S-Techs and should ride pretty much like stock (except for the bumps will be a little more noticable).

Todd, would the Tein H-techs for the G drop an 05 any, or are they only going to lower an 03/04 to the same height as an 05 is stock? Because I'm looking for something that won't throw my camber/toe way out of spec and from what I understand any drop over an inch would.

That's a question best left to GSedan35. I'd think the car would be lowered some, but exactly how much I'm not sure. Don't forget, your 05 is almost the same height as my 2004.5 with sport suspension (with the TEIN's H-Techs for the 350Z). My car is maybe 1/4" lower than yours at most. IMO, the 2005's with the sport suspension look really good at stock height and if you keep it stock you won't have any additional camber issues... just a thought.

I plan on leaving it stock since I am ok with it as is right now. It will only take me a couple days to get unused to the look of the S-techs then I will be totally at peace with it.
