hehehe....I have over 330whp on my wrx...sti suspension, sti 6spd tranny, working active center diff. Its a mid 12's car, its a absolute blast but its draws way too much attention to itself and at that power level the fuel economy sucks...That and it really closes gaps on other cars way too fast sometimes...
A really well thought out and modded rex is one heck of a car. I will miss mine if it ever sells....did I mention I'm hoping and praying it sells before my DG 05 6mt shows up??

I had an STi before I got my G, let me tell you this, I love my G, its my baby, but from a light (to 60), the STi leaves most (mostly all) cars no chance. On the highway, different story (unless the Scoob is worked), the G def pulls harder. But don't get confused, everyone touts about launch from the AWD, but in the STi, thats not really the key, the key is its 1st and 2nd gear. If you ever drive an STi, you will see, but in my opinion, the G is a much better value!

I traded in a wrx with Cobb Stage 2 for my G, my car was making around 225 to the wheels and it would definitely move. Up to about 100 it was very quick but after that it ran out of steam.. Stage 2 was fast enough for me, I can't imagine the guys who are putting down 300+whp on wrx's and STi's. A good launch in one of those must yank your head off.

Doesn't matter much anyway; 2 simple and cheap mods to the STi (downpipe and ecu reflash) and it'll leave the G35 for dead.
Yes, you can mod the G, but it'll cost more than twice as much to achieve the same gains...

watch it....the wing is one if the things the sti has allways had....As for the roll comment its true...A small displacement turbo is going to get crushed on a roll...When you are cruising you are well out of the turbos efficiency range...You drop a gear and stomp on it...BUT anything bigger then another 4 just rolllllllllllls away from you while you are trying to build boost....AND I also have a sti 6spd with much shorter gears then a wrx....Its true though they are just a much different car and feel....build quality, fit finish and just the feel in the car while driving.....
And I LOVE my rex. But the g5 is in another league.

Rayfield, thats why I said if the scoob is worked. To remedy that situation, Vortech the G. There was a video on the Scooby forums (wrxlinks.com) that showed a worked Scoob (Turbo-back, ECUTEK, Green Turbo upgrade -not sure which model, boost controller, injectors) that ran against an M3 ("intake, chip, exhaust) on the highway, I think from 60 to around 140-150, the STi had a 1/2 car on it the whole time, the M3 finally pulled up when the STi pretty much redlined 6th and ran out of gear. Now, how do you think a Vortech'd G would do against a worked STi, or an M3 (Intake, chip, exhaust) on the highway? Now the same guy with the STi said he put 11 car lengths on a stock STi, which I do believe. Now, judging by the video of the M3 he raced, and the M3 was that close, do you think a F/I'd G would not pull away from a worked STi? Keep in mind, a F/I'd G will pull on an M3 with the for-mentioned Mods on the highway pretty easily.

For the guy who said they are ugly...How dare you I just recently got rid of mine and am awaiting my G35 and loved every minute I spent in the car and it was a blast at the open track days I went to and sad to say the G35 coupe's that showed up could not keep up and both of them spun out a few times I had to chuckle as I went by. But I was pulled to the "G" side...It's funny the amount of former Suby owners that now have G35's.

I think alot of it has to do with the fact that the subies while really really fast are built on a econo box platform, and thus you get creaks and rattles and the tipical crap that goes along with it. I too will miss mine BUT I won't miss the hassles the idiots trying to race me, and the freaking rattles...

Lunnzz, tell me about it!! I really do miss the Scoob, my GF wasn't to crazy about its looks, but she likes the looks of the G. But, we've done some talking, Once insurance for the STi comes back down to reality in Jersey, We are definetly purchasing another STi, preferably an 05!!!!! True, its got its creaks and cracks, but your in a race car, what can you say?? I love the G, but wouldn't mind sometimes taking the violence of the Scoob.
