Just had both my the driver & passenger window motors replaced. Thank god for warranty, parts & labor was like $600.

The worst was when I rolled my windows up to wash the G and as I'm spraying the driver side window f#$%ing rolls down!!

I've been lucky... I've had my '03 since they first came out and just had the problem on the driver side. I was glad it was repaired under warrantee.

I read this post and checked mine (05 6MT coupe). No problems. I bought my car in July though of this year so it is still rather new (only 2500 miles). I even rolled it up, down, up, and down to see if I can see if it happens and nope, no problems *knocks on wood*

Window fix that actually WORKS!

Ok what you need to do before manually opening the window and closing it is to OPEN THE DOOR WHEN YOU DO THIS! it does not work with the door closed. So what i did was manually hold the window down button for 10 seconds, then you need to wait a few seconds and then hold the up button until it reaches all the way up and hold it for 10 seconds. Now your window should work perfect. It did for me!

Bringing this thread back...

I've been having this window issue for a while now; roll down the driver's window, rolling it back up, it goes all the way, then comes back down half way. Need to pull up on the power window switch for a few before it'll stay. Also after pulling up the window then getting out of the car and shutting the door, the window will go back down half way. I'd have to put my key in the ingnition, and pull up on the window switch for more than 10 seconds (I noticed a little noise, after I hear that I know the window will stay up and I can release the switch.)

Dealer has "replaced" the driver's window motor "twice". And they won't do it again, stating that the audio door dampaning is causing the motor to overheat. Anyone have experience with this, is it a valid reason?

I've been having this issue for a few months now, it doesn't bother me much but with the cold weather around the corner I think I'm going to bring it back to the dealer for a look-see. Hopefully it's still under warranty.
