Hello people, not sure if this is the place to post this but I had to tell u guys abt. this.

I actually thought for a second that i could take a Supra. I saw the lights coming up on me in the back so he switched lanes looked at me(you guys know the look(no homo) and we both took off. His car let of a BIG "POP", he scared the HELL out of my girl and he was GONE!!! Not even 3 seconds later was this guy ATLEAST 5 car lengths in front of me.

I have no idea what the pop was. A friend of mine said it was his car back firing because he must have cut his cats. All I could do was laugh because I have never been spanked like that in the G yet. However reality set in and I said to myself "My Azz Must Never Be Handed to Me Like That Again."

Pop you heard was prolly a blow off valve from the turbo, its more like a pshhhh sound. An NA Supra you would've easily taken. the stock twin turbo puts out over 300 hp. Modded supra, you had no chance. good luck with the work, you'll need FI to even keep up. the supra is one of my all time favorites, too bad they don't make them anymore, it would be a good competitor with the g

That loud pop could've just also been a little un burnt fuel popping in the super hot exhaust...When I jump on it really hard my car pops, and makes all kind of loud fun noises..and thats with a small bolt on turbo(well bigger then stock) supra's can be nasty..And most of the supra boys don't screw around, they are running massive single turbo setups and making lots of power..

damn I don't even take on supra's with my rex, and I have over 320 at the wheels.

 

Ah yes... I remember the first and last time I got that feeling. I wouldn't say my *** was handed to me, but I was given a spanking by a Neon on steroids. SRT-4. Ever since then, I'm on a need for speed. I can't wait to catch an unsuspecting SRT-4 after I go F.I., I'll show them!!

 

TT Supra's are are big boats with lots of power, gonna take a lot of work on your G for it to keep up with one, much less beat it. I remember seeing one in the Dupont Registry that had 30 miles on it, guy wanted over 70 grand for it. If I had the money, I might have been tempted to buy it even at that price.

 

what are you doing going head to head with a supra

 

My friend has a black single turbo supra putting out 402rwhp hehe. Lets face it we can not beat the power of the 2JZ-GTE. Those things can make 1000 at the wheels easy. Its like racing a GTR!! *Edit* Drop in a RB26DET and you can get yourself a chance. I remember one video of a skyline on a dyno 1300rwhp or awdhp or whatever it was.

 

You race another Supra like that you are gonna loose again.

Sorry couldn't resist. Unless you are deep into FI mods you can give up on racing Supra's...that's for sure. Especially on the highway. My joke above is partially true. The more power those cars make the more they lose traction off the line. Once they get moving and out of tire burning range they are nasty. The highway is the LAST place to even think about racing one.

Modded supras are no joke, sounds like you tangled with a TT.

It's the fastest car I've ever driven (still).

 

What did you expect? a slightly modded MY05 type S can take the G.. I dont know why people race there G's, IMHO its not that quick. This car feels like a boat. If you want to go fast, go cop the TT from Greddy.. then maybe you can go heads up with some decently fast cars. Here come the flames
