mushy brembos on cold start?
i have an 04 with only 7K miles and brembos (6mt). i have noticed that when i first start driving, the brake pedal seems mushy. with even pressure, the brake pedal modulates (shakes?) under my foot before braking. (i know braking inst a word, its sounds so very jdm tho for some reason..."brembo make for happy braking in sad weather situations...")
i digress tho. after the 1st or second stopping, it seems to go away. anyone have the same issue? i have also noticed that it rains here ALOT and the rotors look like they are rusty brown 1st thing in the morning. after using the brakes tho, it looks like they clean off.
is this normal or should i take it to dealer? is it just the moisture here?
i havent noticed this on my last car and this is the 1st time i have had brembos since i have moved here (georgia). am i being too sensitive or is this an acutal issue?

Try to wipe it with your finger, it doesn't seem like rust

if you have a small leak, ya better get that off the wheels, it will ruin the finish. Redish brown sounds like fluid to me. It will look like a mist if it leaks while the car is moving.

he mentioned about the rain, so that's rust on your rotors, normal. all metal rotors do that. and if you leave the e-brake on overnight, next morning you'll feel a light thud when you move, those are the rear pads that got stuck on the wet rotors.
the brake modulation might be the ABS working.
