G35's are crappy bags of loose nuts and bolts!!!
I frequent this board and have been reading a lot of threads about a squeak here and a rattle there. When I first drove my G35 it felt solid and fine. But now I am straining to listen for rattles and squeak that wouldn't have bothered me until I read about them here.
The Acura TL, which I also considered, would have been a better choice than my 05 g35 coupe. NOT!!! If I wanted perfection I would have gotten a big ugly Lexus. Cars have thousands of moving parts and they will make noise. You normally don't hear them because it is either insulated or the exhaust over powers it.
Meanwhile. I need to remind myself why I picked this car.
- styling,
- vq35, its torque, power and surprisingly good fuel mileage,
- driveability in rush hour traffic,
- Rear wheel drive,
- semi luxury amendments,
- price,
- MP3 player,
- Skyline heritage,
- pearl paint at no extra $,
- 0-60 is 6'ish seconds, etc, etc, etc,
Sorry about this venting. Just getting tired of hearing from the worry worts on this board.

Why Is The Sky Blue
Transmitted light (from the sun, light bulbs, fire, etc) is made up of a spectrum of colors. The longest wavelengths of light are on the red end of the spectrum and the shortest wavelengths are on the blue/violet end of the spectrum.
When transmitted light such as sunlight enters our atmosphere it collides with the oxygen and nitrogen atoms. The color with the shorter wavelength is scattered more by this collision. Because violet and blue are the shortest wavelengths the sky appears to be violet / blue. But because our eyes are more sensitive to blue light than they are violet light, we perceive the sky as blue.
Our eyes contain thousand of rods and cones, which are the receptors for light. Whenever one of the 3 Stooges pokes you in the eye you see a giant blue spot. This is because the blue receptors have been activated. Blue is one of the primary colors and thus more easily activated and seen by our eyes.

If you really want, go pick up a noise/rattle form from the Infiniti service dept. They will want you to fill it out to diagnose noises.

Thought the title would get some attention...
P.diddy... Your point exactly. I am not paranoid at all. in fact that's what I am trying to tell people who notices the arm rest making a noise when they lean on it
albeit not as explicitely as you put it. This is a Nissan, the skyline and 300z builder, we are dealing with, so they should know their stuff.
I just enjoy my car as is and not worry about any noise that the car makes...
Now about the clutch. I do smell some clutch burning when I drive the car hard. And I swear I don't ride the pedal or launch it above 4000 rpm.
