what do you guys think, which one is faster?

 

I bet the 04 stick might edge it out with a perfect run, but it is easier to launch the A5 than the M6. And you def. wont miss shifts with the A5. Put a higher stall on the A5 though, and I guarentee it would smoke the M6. You will gain at least 3 tenths in the quarter, but probably more like 5 with a higher stall Torque convertor. would probably get some Nitto 555R drags though unless you got the X.

the 6MT....not being biased, but some even pull on 05 6MT with a simple intake...it's def the torque and lighter weight...

05 auto is even slower than 03-04 auto.

 

Really? I know some say the 05 6MT is slower because while it gained HP, it lost torque, which was in the end for the worst.. but I thought they didnt change anything on the 05 ATs besides the interior.

 

05 auto is heavier than the 03-04 w/o any power upgrade.

 

With equal drivers and stock rides, I'd give the edge to the 6M/T. The extra gear and better gearing in the tranny and rear/end is a big advantage.

Why doesn't anyone get the concept of torque and horsepower CURVES, not just the peak numbers that are published by Infiniti.

I've driven both many times and in my opinion my '04 6mt's a little faster than my friends' 05s. The pickup is better and it feels to be pulling harder.
