Has Anyone Taken Their G to Germany?
I'm moving to Germany in a couple of months and plan on shipping my G over. Has anyone had their G in Europe? I'm curious to know how it does on the Autobahn as well as repairs / service. I've lived in Germany before, but it's been a few years and of course I didn't have my G.
Yes I recall 2 people browsing the forum from Germany. I think they are in the armed forces or something like that. Try going to Italy as well the Autostrade is a blast to drive on.
I was in Germany for 3 years with my twin turbo RX7. Was running around 450+ hp. Was fun until you were going 150-160 and getting passed like you weren't moving.
If the G has a speed governor might want to see if you can find someone to remove it.
Watch your rear view mirror over there. You see something coming up fast get the hell out of the way. Don't pass in the right hand lane that is a huge no no over there. Also don't stay in the left unless you are passing someone. Flashing your lights use to be ok over there but they changed the laws flashing your lights for someone to move out of your way is a no no. Most will come up behind you in the left lane turn on their left signal basically telling you to get out of the way. Also remember if you get pulled over don't get smart with the police over there. You will get more than a ticket pissing off the German police.

Driving the Autobahn is nothing like driving on the freeway. The roads are very clean and smooth as glass. Always stay alert of everything infront of you and behind you.
Get a ECU reflash and a turbo and you'll be better prepared for the Autobahn.
And be courteous to everyone... there are no games, daydreaming, shouting, roadrage, cutting, waggling or fliping off of other drivers like there is here. Fortunatly, the odds of being hurt in an accident are practically nill because you either don't get in an accident or you are dead in the blink of an eye.
Stay alert and have fun!Its true about the cops. They are bad ***. They brandish some really cool weapons too. Selectable full auto HK MP-5 premium submachine guns with high capasity magazines. In Germany the cops are called "Bullen" (bulls) because you show them respect and don't mess with them.
