Red face G45? I know its been posted...

Hey everyone. I know this question has been posted many times. Is it true or not?

There was a customer, who was in his late 20s, that came by my workplace, talking to me about my car. He said he had recently bought a g last week down at the new Infiniti dealership near the Oakland Collusium. Now the weird thing was, he said he saw a g with an emblem that said g45. I was like, "really?". The only 45 that I can think of is the M45 and that has a V8 engine in it. I seconded my "really?" and the man was positive he saw the emblem right on the backside of a g coupe. He didnt give me any mroe information about what was under the hood or anything productive other than that there was one at the Infiniti dealership in Oakland off the 880 highway.

So...is there anyone on the forum that's close enough to drop by there to see if it's true? Or do you think it's bogus? I would so check it out if I didn't run a business and work 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

bogus... there would have been spy shots first, then a press release, and then a new space on the website for it if it was already at a dealership. The guy was confusing the m45 with a g45.

It'd also be on www.nissannews.com before it hit the dealerships. That's the site to check if you want credible Nissan and Infiniti news.

It was someone who riced out their car and hoped that adding the 45 would give them extra horsepower. Poor fool didn't realize that only VTEC and Type R stickers give you horsepower

At a Chevy dealership there were Cadillac floor mats in a brand new Chevy Blazer right off the truck. Stranger things have happened.

We'll see a G38 (3.8l VQ) before we see a G45.

Dude, you are soooo wrong. I dynoed my car with and without the Type R stickers and had no noticeable. I couldn't understand why the dyno shop owner kept laughing hysterically. I told him let's take it to the track as soon as I get my VTEC logo. He kept laughing but I will show him.

I got a way flatter torque curve after I put a giant "AZN REVOLUTION" decal on my front windsheild. True story.
