Well to me the 05 is smoother then the 03/04 but again that might be just me...
Me and one other guy seem to be the only ones to notice that the steering is angled.... and the other guy likes it...
did you notice the angle on the steering?

I don't know what you call homework, but I think I would have noticed 'unpleasant steering feel" on the first test drive.

I'm sorry guy but if you can do homework on a car that you don't own, good for you, how can you really judge a car on a test drive thats not even broken in and with a guy next to you triying to sell it to you... unless you rented the car before or something, **** your not even confortable in the car yet, how can you judge a car... the reason I say give it back is that I don't think it's something I will be able to change like lets say the bose sound system... sure it's crap but I can change it... I find the shift **** to big but's it's nothing that my ond Momo can't fix, this on the other hand is something I've never come across and have yet to get any help in solving (It's one of those thats how it is things) and I don't like it... Is that so hard to understand... people bitch about seats and all other stuff they can change, can this be changed?
Even the dealer noticed and gave that sorry SOL kind of face...
No, but I came out of a 1998 Maxima which is worlds away from this car in feel and finish.
My biggest concerns were rattles (I've had and fixed a few) and mileage (I've done better than I feared).
Overall, I'm very happy with the car. Time will tell.

That repair is exactly what my brother just did on his '03 Coupe. Maybe INfiniti will step up too.

On another note, someone a couple of months ago was complaining about the car shuttering when going into first gear. I didn't notice this at all.......of course after I read that post it seems that I notice it a lot now. It's not a big deal, but i wish i would have never read that post...lol

I drove the car alone on at least 6 occasions - I told the salesman I wouldn't consider the car if he insisted on being beside me on every drive. At first it was an issue but I got what I wanted. One solo test drive was over 3 hours.

I took it to the Infiniti dealer twice and they just blew me off. Infiniti Customer Service didn't want to address the issue either, and when I contacted the Michelin Customer Support they told me that they were getting swamped with calls from 350Z AND G35 owners complaining about the issue. I had to side with them when they said that this clearly is a design flaw in the suspension design of the 350Z and G35.
I'll never buy another Infiniti product. Period.

Sorry but the G suspension is absolutely wonderful and implying that a flaw is inherent in the suspension geometry is ludicrous.

By the time I bought my G I was very comfortable behind the wheel. I guess people apply different standards when they head out to spend $35K.

Second, I did get to test drive it a while, not 3 hours and to me thats crazy...
Third, it took me about a week to realize that this was the problem so no amount of driving in a test drive would of revealed this to me...
Forth, how can you compare the drive of a sedan to a coupe, two diferent cars, from the seats to the actual steering wheel, I have the premium package and the steering in the coupe is still really high at its lowest point, I can almost crush my nuts with the sedan so....
HEy anyways, I already asked Infiniti to look into a fix for me and I was just posting here for a solution, not to be shot at.... I'm happy you don't see this as a problem...
Hopefully I will get use to the angle because unless infiniti takes the car back (I really doult they would) I have to keep the car for at least 2 years before I can think of jumping into something else... plus like i said before, this is the only car i really wanted, i don't know what else i would drive...

My tires after 13k are absolutely fine so how does that warrant it being a design flaw. The Z has tire feathering in the front due to the camber setting being aggressive. Do a thorough search and there is a fix but the handling will suffer a bit because the camber settings are less aggressive.

According to the Michelin Customer Center, they have received a lot of complaints by both 350Z AND G35 owners. I don't need to "do a search"- You seem to be painfully unaware that only a very, very small percentage of G35 owners world-wide are members of this forum or the other G35 forums on the Internet (not everyone is so obsessed about their car that they need a daily "forum fix" - and I happily include myself in the junkie group.)
I've no doubt that the problem is more prevalent in the suspension setup of the 350Z due to the harsher camber angle. However, to dismiss the same issue from ever occuring with the G35, or that the percentage of occurances is somehow acceptable is unrealistic and naive. And G35 owners should be aware that Infiniti (who is a part of Nissan, after all) is going to do as little as possible to bring attention to the issue in the hopes of staving off additional law suits.
i could see and hear the uneven wear around 8k miles. I never had them rotated. Just not worth it due to cost and potential damge to the wheels.
I would have keep them on, but i got new rims. To me the problems with the window motors in the G are way worse than the tire wear issue.

wow your tollerent, you heard growl for 14K....
Replaced original 18" Pilot Sports on my 03 coupe at about 25K miles with Pilot Sports. Center tread of rear tires was shot. Fronts still had a little tread left - not much. No feathering or cupping was evident.
I have the same problem at 12,000 miles!!!... check out my thread... I hope there will be something done for the g35!!!
