It would be very helpful if someone can circle some spots on a feathering tire. thanks
My brother just went thru that with his Coupe. The biggest issue with the feathering or scalloping is low speed noise. At about 20 mph, the howl from the front tires was unbelieveable. Almost sounded like bad bearings. This noise subsided quickly as speed rose and was not noticeble at hwy speeds.

LOoking at the tires, it's quite noticeable, and you could feel that every second tread was worn down lower than the previous tread.

Apparantly the front compression rods are suspect along with poor wheel alignment.

From what I've read about the 350Z's, this is a front end design flaw that can cause this issue with many owners of G's and Z's.

There is a lawsuit of sorts initiated recently about this-- LOOK HERE .

You can tell if your tires are feathering by taking your hand and sliding it over the face of the tire from one side to the other. And then do it the opposite way. In one direction, it will feel smooth. In the other direction, you will feel it rough almost like ridges.

Not joking at all. That's what many tire mechanics have told me and that's how NTB explains it in one of their pamphlets on typical tire wear patterns.
