Feathering???
How can you check your tires for feathering? I have seen quite a few pics of tire feathering, but I can never point out the spots of tire wear.
I am asking because my g pulls slightly to the left if I let the wheel go. Is this normal?
It would be very helpful if someone can circle some spots on a feathering tire. thanks

LOoking at the tires, it's quite noticeable, and you could feel that every second tread was worn down lower than the previous tread.
Apparantly the front compression rods are suspect along with poor wheel alignment.
From what I've read about the 350Z's, this is a front end design flaw that can cause this issue with many owners of G's and Z's.
There is a lawsuit of sorts initiated recently about this-- LOOK HERE .

I've been reading and reading the feathering forum at my350z.com, but it's way too long. It doesn't have too many pics.
thanks for the link accordfreak. I've looked at your thread before this thread, but I couldn't make out the feathering. Taking a second look helps.

You can tell if your tires are feathering by taking your hand and sliding it over the face of the tire from one side to the other. And then do it the opposite way. In one direction, it will feel smooth. In the other direction, you will feel it rough almost like ridges.
