where are you located and what dealership was that? that's an awesome deal dude! i spec'ed out a winter setup from tirerack and it was right around $1300. i'm definitely gonna talk to my local dealer and see if they can offer the same setup. that free storage, alignment, balance is sweet, especially for you since you don't have a place to store them.

pretty good deal. i might be interested, i'll let you know through PM.

I will also highly recommend getting another set of tires/wheels for the winter.
At that point, all you have to worry about is the snow piles. Lest you think they aren't that bad, a small snowbank broke the underside front air diffuser on my car (the snow was partially frozen). Anyway, Infiniti would not fix it and called it a cosmetic repair, so I would have to claim it on insurance. I took it off and I might buy a new one at some point.
Also, I bought my winter setup from another member on this board. Best thing that ever came out of this message board for me.

With the summer-only stock tires, you are taking your life in your hands if you try driving with them in winter conditions, either cold or snow. One drive in even light snow will prove the point. They are horrible and have no traction at all. Even with a dusting, you will slip and slide up even small hills or inclines. Thus, if you plan on driving in winter conditions, plan on getting different or another set of tires for the car.

For those in Chicago or similar climates, What do you think is the best choice for year round driving: G356mt, Evomr, WrxSti, or Volvo s40t5? (AWD>RWD>FWD?)
any other suggestions?

The Pilots sports are not usable on any snow. Period. Under 30 degrees, if it's dry, they seem to turn into a hard plastic. After some driving, they'll warm up, but you'll see "slip" a lot more then when it's warmer. And if they're a bit worn, then you'll see it even more.
As Tax_Time mentioned, even if there's a light dusting of snow, you'll be going like 5-10 mph in the slow lane with everyone honking at you. And you better hope you don't hit anything with a grade. I got caught during the day with less then 1 inch of snow on the ground and started looking for winter tires that same night. I made it home safe, but I should've listen to the other members on this board.

Everyone has been right. Avoid the 18's & 19's in cold weather below 30 degrees. Tried it a few times and it was not fun. Took the train or my wife's 4Runner.
I am looking for a set of winters that will fit on the stock 18 rims. Has anyone seen a set that that would work in stock size 225/45 & 245/45?

Not the exact staggered but in 225/45/18's.

I'm told narrower tires are better anyways for snow. There are a lot of options for 18's and even more for 17's.
