BS about insurance?

I hated it most because of the flooding issue at startup, could never get comfortable with that. Now I am selling the G but only for financial reasons but I absolutely love this car and will hopefully own again or if I dont sell and suck it up enjoy it while I have it. But will never own another Rotary in my life! Good luck with whatever you purchase.
but why is the amount of torque so important? what difference does it make?
..the G is actually lower than all of my previous cars. Even the Mountaineer that I had... and did you know that with all-state, if you have lojack, or something comparable you get 15% off per year? maybe that's why...
Then drive an RX8 and rev to 9 grand to enjoy the car. You dont feel anything until 5k which is not where I like to drive my cars. Dont get me wrong, it is a nice car but it wasnt for me. Thats all, Not really trying to start a flame war on which car is better becasue all cars have strong and weak points. I mainly did not like the flooding issue and the constant flashes that would either add performance or take it away for some. It seemed like every other month you had a new reflash and I hate to visit the dealer for anything.
My Insurance rate for the G35C is the lowest I've had in many years. When I traded my Audi TT for the G, my Insurance rate was cut by over 10%. If you pay a lot for insuring a G35, it would cost you a fortune to insure a car like the M3.

but why is the amount of torque so important? what difference does it make?Torque makes you go. RX-8 takes a while to get going. My brother has one so I've driven both and it is night and day difference when you stomp on the gas pedal in each car. Also if you are looking at automatic, forget the RX-8, it's gimp. Manual is the only way to go for the 8 so then if you want to drive in a spirited manner, you can keep it at 8000rpm and get your 10mpg to boot. The car does handle like a dream though.
Insurance wise, there shouldn't be too big of a difference between the two.
Like a lot of other people have stated, my insurance actually went down a little going from a Volvo S60 T5 sedan to the G coupe. It was a minimal drop, only by about $20/6 months. I can only think its because the G doesn't have any trim lines, so every one looks like a base model to the insurance companies?
As for parts, I've never had to order any replacement parts yet, so I can't really say. But, there are a lot of companies that do aftermarket stuff for the G, so you might be able to find parts cheaper than OEM anyway.

My guess on why the Vette's rates are low is because of the age group that is attracted to Vettes. My guess is that most vettes are owned by those in the 40+ age bracket, and this age group is on average involved in fewer and less severe accidents. On the other hand the M3's rates are very high. I would imagine that most M3 drivers are on average a lot younger than Vette drivers.
But are you saying that the G is an old person's car then?

My friend advised me to go with the RX8 but I personally dont like the RX8's exterior, especially compared to the g35's.
1.) Was your car insurance payment above average?
2.) Are the parts for the g35 that expensive compared to other cars?

C.
Insurance rates (besides make and model of the car) are ultimately purely based on YOUR age, location, history with driving and car ownership, etc.. Its retarded to ask people what they pay for insurance thinking it would be close to what YOU would be paying for insurance because the variance can be so high going from person to person.
But as a sidenote, I was paying a hell of lot for a base rsx in CA through statefarm, and I got qouted a hell of a lot less for the G in IL.
