Yes, I meant 1st gear. Considering the same final gear ratio and redline, 3.794 is approx. 10% increase over 3.446 reverse gear ratio. The 10% decrease in gear ratio for reverse actually translates to a 10% increase in top speed in that gear. 1st gear actually taps out closer to 38 mph, so a 10% increase in mph would be about 42 mph. Guys running the 3.94 (3.5 for OEM) final gear ratio from 350EVO actually lose mph for each gear.

For those considering trying it:
Don't. Not a safe thing since the rears don't steer and any variation in the wheel will easily put you into a spin. Think of it like this...Imagine driving forward, but your rears do the turning...any slight turn of the wheels can cause a fishtail/spinout.
