lol g35 is 54/46 and bmw is 50/50, bmw still hard to drive in the snow what do you think G35 would be like ?
i think all the FR with a good winter tires can move in snow but nothing compare to FF or AWD.

With a good set of winter tires, you'll be fine. For those who say the G can't be driven in the winter, check your driving skills and know that 90% of all police cars on the road, fire trucks, and ambulances, along with city buses and even the plow trucks are RWD. Also, a good set of winter tires does not replace common sense

I actually had Pirelli P zero's at the time 295 rears, which we all know are not winter tires. Wide but no grip under those circumstances.

Good set of snows like Dunlop M3 winter sports, or Blizzaks and you will be fine. Use common sense and restrict the use of the gas pedal, especially on take off, and you will get along with the rest of them. I actually was surprised how well my coupe did last winter with the 20" storm we had.

either spend 700 on snow tires or spend 700 on a mid 80s corolla . either way you should be fine. i will tell you, the G35 with pilot sports and snow is not a good combo, i have a 40 degree hill up to my house, definitely had all the kids in the neighborhood push my car up it. but i might add, a G will most definitely look sexier than an old beater.

Summer tires + snow = not good.

Its possible, but you've got to take it easy. All Season tires make it much more possible, but still not great. Winter tires would be perfect if you are that concerned.

If it snows that heavy where do you need to go anyway? But all joking aside forget about the coupe in the winter if it snows.

i had absolutely NO issues driving my coupe this passed winter with snows on. i got my snow tires from harry @ bigwheelz.com. here's my set-up:
17x7 Impact Silver
225/50/17 Pirelli W210
225/55/17 Pirelli W210
if u like the coupe and the only thing holding u back is the thought of snow then don't worry about it and buy the car. with 4 snows u won't have any problems getting around. my car drove better then my pop's fx45 on his stock tires.

Get the X and blow by everyone in their winter beaters. It's a great car. Besides - you cant put a hockey stick and a gear bag in the coupe.

Be Canadian Jim and go AWD.

Would you narrower than 225 for snow?

1. Figure anything narrower than 225 for snow tires are just NOT going to look right on the coupe. Any comments? Narrower is typically better. (that's why those Toyota Echo just go flying through the snow).
2. Coupe vs Sedan - weight ratio is almost identical 54/46 vs 53/47 - so unless you going to the "X" - they should act about the same in the snow, right? (as curb weight is preety much the same - unless you're talking M6 or G35X which are about identical too)
