Did I nail the Data System's R-Spec influence on the rear spoiler or what?!?! Now I'm trying to decide if I like the DS (have it, but not installed) or the OEM '06 better. I do hate how the DS overlaps the fenders while the '06 stays on the trunk. But the DS still seems more sleek. Tough choice for me in the very near future!

Headlights - I like Bi-Xenon deal, but I don't like the clear blinkers and I hate the revised clearance strip. Frankly, this new version has more of everything I hate about my '05 headlights... ...too blingy and plain/monotone. Never been a fan of the chrome look under clear plastic.

Tail Lights - I don't know. I'm not crazy about the reverse lights. I think I still prefer the pre-'06 version.

Front Bumper - Maybe NISMO will offer something new. I really don't like this change and much prefer the OEM pre-'06. I'm changing to NIMSO as it is, but I could definately hang with the current one. Not so on the '06.

There are some nice additions, but without the Premium Pkg. most wouldn't apply to me anyway. Likewise, my seatbelt doesn't bother me but I'm sure the change might help others.

Still can't believe they didn't change the seat-control location or slightly increase the seats' dimensions.

I can admit when new model changes are something that I'd like, as I have on too many occassions with past vehicles. But this time, I'm actually happy I didn't wait... ...with the exception of possibly missing out on new revisions to some mechanical hardware.

Now, about that spoiler......

Dunno if I like the new spoiler or not. I want to see it in person. Also looks like the intelligent key is not push-start after all but still the dumb little twist ****. Still don't know whether or not I should get an '05 or and '06.

Get the 06 and be done with it...its only a few grand more and you'll recoup most of that in resale value of having the extra year. And then you get to have the latest and greatest for an entire year...(At least that was my line of thinking when I decided to get the 05 over the 04.5).

Most of the '06 changes are pretty nice. The bluetooth phone, memory seats, & I-Key are great additions. Active steering certainly would be cool to have, as are projector beams.
I'm not digging the new taillights though. Why make the reverse light angular when the rest of the lights have a circular theme? Looks kind of odd to me.
I guess the main issue for the '06 coupe is that while the additions are nice, it's going to be even more expensive to get it loaded now. Had I been in the market for a new car now, I wonder if I would have been able to justify buying the G for $40k+. Still, I have to admit I would love to have some of the '06's new toys. Good thing my wife's FX35 already have most of them.

u can see from the pics that it's still a twist ****. i whish they migrated some of the tech from other cars like the new m45 push start button seen below. i'm assuming they'll have more tech sharing when the new '07 redesign comes out.

With the new fornt bumper, is there still going to be an optional front lip available?

The only things I like are the Bluetooth deal and the projectors (not the entire headlights). Hate the tails and spoiler.

I don't think so. It would look redundant. The bumper in the pics is the sport suspension package bumper. Non-sport coupes will look the same as previous years.

Wow--at least now I know that I don't have to spend more money on the OEM spoiler since I still like my lip spoiler much better than the new one.

Not much difference on the outside--definately nothing to write home about....

Incidentally this picture was posted on Freshalloy on 09/28/2002, almost 3 years ago. Looks like Nissan designers came to the same conclusion I did.... and looks like Kenstyle liked the rear bumper idea. Damn, where is my comission!?

Hmmm anyone else notice that the tails are FULL LED now. The turnsignals no longer use conventional bulbs. Nice!

Any guess to what that silver metallic thing is to the left of the reverse light?

I like the 03-05 spoiler more actually, and everything else isnt that big of a deal. Just enjoy what you have and live with it.

Trunk opener button like the sedan. Can't we just get those LED bulbs for the turning signals without getting the entire tail lights. The reverse lights don't flow with the rest of the rear end at all.
