But seriously, work on your budgeting man...that kind of financial mistake can really bit you in the butt down the road when the bills get bigger, and your parents aren't around to help. The credit card idea is good if you can pay it off ASAP though. Good luck!

Jedi, I don't think the Borla will look any different than the one on the 350Z...I mean, some people have retro-fitted the 350Z exhaust on the G35, so I don't know why Borla would go through the trouble to re-design the whole system for a car that is exactly the same, just a little longer. And if they actually did, then more power to them, and better for us. I don't expect anything more than the 350Z exhaust with extended pipes though. I've been happy with the Borla exhaust on my Wrangler, so I figure between that point, and the fact that the 350Z guys love them, and I love the sound (not ricey, but clearly meaner than stock) So I'm willing to sign up. It's not for everybody. Some people like buzz-bomb mufflers or turned out tips like the Injen, but I'll take quality near-stock looks and sound with true duals any day.

Fair enough! May I ask, are the tip sizes bigger than stock or the same?
And has anyone dyno'd the 350Z Borla exhaust?

Yea now I wish I had a credit card... No financial problems yet... Always pay my bills on time.. .but I guess it's my loss.. Have to focus on the car payment rather then the toys for the car... but damn the price is too good to let go... I need to check with other sources to see if they can loan me the money... I can get the money, but just can't get it in time... The 19th is too soon becuase my flippin car payment is the 15th... And my next pay check is about a week after the 19th.......... ouch...

Cali_Eddie: Why wouldn't your parents front you the money if you could pay them back with your next paycheck? Seems that may be your best option.

Jedi: The tips -might- be just a teeeny bit larger than stock. I think they might stick out a tiny bit more, and be just a little larger around..but the exhaust opening itself is pretty much the same size. Borla uses a double-tip on all it's exhausts. The My350Z.com forum has some before/after pictures that show what it looks like compared to the stock system.

Like I said though, I think as far as looks and sound goes, it's the closest to stock of anything out there right now. That's what I wanted out of it, performance, Sound close to stock, just a touch louder, and looks stock, in that order, and I think the Borla delivers on that based on what I've read from the 350Z guys.

Well they were until I told them what it was for... Then they gave me that "oh brother" look.. and say "It's not the end of the world and exhaust pipe's will always be available" and bla bla bla... if it was for something like I was short money on my car payment or I got bills I can't pay they'd be MORE then happy to front me the money.. I shouldn't of told them what it was for if not should at least told them it was for expenses or something I owe.. but my dumb @ss has to be honest and tell the truth... sheesh...

I spoke with Borla about the price and they said the distributor's will be selling the system cheaper. Jedi wanted the price so I gave it to him. Why would Borla care what someone sells it for? They made their money. Trying to help a guy out and you go postal. I hope I ruined it for you because I can pay the extra.

 

Aftrbnr: While I appreciate that you were trying to help someone, Bill was concerned because the aggreement with Borla was not to disclose publicly (at least on our forum) the agreed on special price. I expect Borla wanted all prospects to talk to their sales peeps directly to understand just how good the deal is, and all the details. A reasonable request considering the price.
Whatever! That was the agreement. So it was up to everyone to live up to it. Can't blame BillR for being angry with you for jeopardizing the agreement.
Now you've taken swings at each other, let it go please. Wars are not good anywhere, but especially not on a thread with such a good opportunity.

I understand. I apologize for jeapordizing the deal but now we have 6 or 7 more buyers due to my post and we should be getting our orders filled next week. This exhaust is the real deal and nothing else comes close. A friend has it on his 350Z and it is incredible. About 15-20 hp gains without the headers (20-25 with headers) and the sound is perfect.

 

Damn that's a lot of power... Would that bring the G35 in the 13 second range?

Man I tell you my co-worker's are punks! they don't understand that how much money it'd save me if I were to go into the group buy. I was like I need the money to make up the difference and they were like oh damn for what? and I said a exhaust system and they all started laughing like if it was a waist of money... sheesh reminded me of my parents...lol damn them, wish someone like bill gates would understand, read my post, register, pm me and get my add to send me the money....LOL....

any pics or any info on the system? however good the price may be its a little hard to buy something blind.

is it a true dual eshaust? what's the material made of?
whats the diamater of the pipes? tips?
what kind of gains? is it bolt on?
q's like these i need answered b4 i order regardless of the price.

It bolts on just like the stock one and is stainless steel, true dual, and the tips are just about big enough to put your fist in. It is pretty hard to make the G look even better than it does and really easy to make it look bad, but this system is a gem. It is like seeing a hot chic in clothes, then in lingerie.....that is what the exhaust is going to do for you!!!! Priceless!
