but otherwise, 1, 5, 7 series are all sedans,

2, 4, 6 series coupes.

if the IS350 coupe came out early this year, i would have been driving that car for sure. i'm not saying my G sux, cuz i love my ride, but i just love the lexus service and the IS350s did look pretty cool like a mini GS. i think the supra will cost around 50K to start and with some options i say around 55~60K.

The Infiniti dealership has better service where I live. The IS350 has too many doors.

Are you kidding? IS350 will rape our cars. IS350 is built as Lexus from the scratch and their interior quality will be more like MB.

I'm not sure about Supra being re-released. Toyota is too conservative and unadventurous to build a sport coupe that won't sell. Do you see a car in Toyota/Lexus line up that is sporty?? Toyota only builds car that sells and if they don't, they will discontinue it right away like Celica and MR2 Spyder. Lexus/Toyota slogan should say "Passionate Pursuit of Profit".

I think your perception of the IS350 is a bit skewed. It's on par with the G35 as far as performance, but we know how automatic trannys are geared up north. Interior wise, I give the nod to Lexus.

THe IS350 will be much more more cost comparable to the G, not the 330. Lexus just has a ton of standard feature and few options. If the base is like 35k, the price range will only be like 35-40k, as the only options will likely be a premium pack, auto vs. manual and nav.

Unlike a 330, which may start in the 30's, but escalates really quickly to mid 40's, if not more. I speak from experience (own a fully optioned (minus nav) 325iT).

I'm excited about the IS350 - if ordering info is here about the time the 06 G pricing is confirmed, I could wait. Probably not, but Lexus does build nice cars...

You should read what I'm reading from the latest car magazine from Japan. We wish the performance will be a par with G35. Their 6 speed AT will be faster than average 6MT driver. We can count of V36 Skyline. Nissan in Japan is considering launching Infiniti in Japan in 2008 IF Lexus Japan doesn't fuc* up. If then, no more Skyline.

By the way, estimated pricing on IS350 in Japan is about 50K. Much higher there becuase that's how much 3 series and C-class sells for there.

i think the is will be an overall better and faster car than the G... i am beginning to worry about that torquey little bastard. my buddy is buying the IS as soon as it comes out, and if it really is faster than the G, i will try to kill myself everytime he brags about being faster.

Supra wooooo~ Why bother waiting for the Toyota, Evo8 and STi are collecting dust around the nation. Proving once again that super formance + reasonable price + fans with only enough money for a bicycle = No sales!

I wouldn't put too much stock in how much they cost in Japan. I was at the BMW dealership near Shinjuku (think downtown Tokyo), and they had an M3 there for 9,300,000 Yen (or at at an exchange rate of 107Yen = $1US, $86,915). I was looking at their 2006 330i and they wanted close to $50k US for it.

Does anyone know the specific date of the Tokyo Auto show? I definately want to hit it and see if they have the Supra around.

Here's a shot of the G35 coupe in the Nissan Ginza (really expensive part of Tokyo) showroom. I really liked the color (kinda of a dark blue/grey) but it looks grey in the picture for some reason.
