Toyoya ups its game, aiming right at our Cars
330 wouldnt stand a chance vs the G35c 6mt
I like both brands (own a BMW now, getting a G) but the 50/50 weight balance in the BMW is really nice - makes a nice neutral handling car. Drive a 330 and see - it's a nice ride. Better? Well, it's preference I think, but you can't drive one and not see it's merits.
Also, BMW's new car warranty (no charge for maintenance) kicks Infiniti in the rear. And darn good dealer service IMO.
So the .5 liter difference in engine size will be made up for in the 53/47 of the infiniti
Give me a break, go read numbers or something Dave, i dont care how it "Feels" its not as fast.
If you think preformnce wise a 330 is faster. Im sure the police will be at your house for a drugs bust soon

despite what you want to believe BMW's maintenance costs are built into their price. dealer service depends on the dealer. there are crappy and good dealers for all types of cars.
Don't get me wrong, the 330 is a great car to compare with the G35. I like them both.
Yes, and the raw HP numbers don't mean a thing either. Silly, but I guess people really look at #'s rather than driving the cars.
But, you want #'s...
Fine.. look at the acceleration #'s on BMW's across the board. They overacheive for their HP. The old e46 330i w/ ZHP = 0-60 in 5.7. How many HP? 235.
Yes, the infiniti kinda underacheives for 298hp.

As for what the Supra will be priced at and what it competes with, there's enough rumors floating around to fill a museam. Supra owners have been staying with the latest news and it's pretty much gotten to the point where we'll just believe it when we see it. Will it compete with the 30k price range? Maybe so. Will they price it higher and have it compete with the true sports car level? Maybe but who knows? It all depends on how Toyota will target the car and only time will tell.

The point of the flash animation was to show that people are still going after the "benchmark BMW".

and it's a bit sad that you can't apreciate a better chassis and engine performance,
it's just sad that a 3.5 liter six gets it's torque peak over 4 grand when bmw can give you max torque from 2200 all the way to redline
IS350 v. My 2004 G35 Sedan
Hate to say it, but I expect the toyota to be a better all around car. I suspect Toyota did its homework after no one purchased an IS during the last three years.
If the price is right, the 350 might be in may garage next year.
I have had too many annoyances from my G35 the past two years. Mainly, plain ergonomics and sorry as air circulation in the cabin. The only car I had to run the air conditioning at all times. In the winter because the front windhield fogs, and in the summer because the vent system sucks more hot air threw the cabin than a 50 cent #%$#.
