I was toying with the idea of buying a Coupe 6M (because I love my current sedan, which of course is driven by my wife most of the times !), so I did some research, and this is what I came up with:

Packages (Performance Tire and Wheel is already included for the 6M model):
1. Premium
2. Navigation
3. Aero

There's no word (this is from the Infiniti site) about any Aero kit 3-piece or 4 piece which I found on "edmunds". I have the "Aero" package on my sedan (spoiler and difusers) but I was looking for the ground effect all-around the car (front, rear and sides). I thought that was the "Aero kit" (3 or 4 piece, don't know), but it's only listed on "edmunds" and not on "infiniti". Also, on "edmunds" it says you cannot have any of the "Aero kit 3 or 4 piece" with the "Aero package" .....

So, how do I get the "Aero package" with the ground effect ? How do splash-guards play into this combination (I'd like to have them too !) ?

One more thing: on the "infiniti" site, "body-colored side sills" show up as standard equipment ... Is this the ground-effect that I'm looking for ? If so, why only sides and not front and rear as well ?

Oh, so many issues ....... I wish it was simpler ....

I'll make this VERY simple for you. Take a look at my car in the Rides section. It is on the first page under Balzac72.

The aero PACKAGE gives you the underbody diffusers and rear spoiler.

When you order the Aero KIT, you get the extra 3 (or 4?) pieces, which include the splash guards, front lip and? (something in the rear?)

If you order those two options at your dealer, you'll get everything you're asking about, just like I did.

Body colored side sills are new to me. Are you sure it isn't body colored side molding? Side sills (skirts?) aren't an option I'm familiar with and I'd doubt that skirts exist as an Infiniti option, considering the splash guards.

Did I answer everything?

1. why doesn't "infiniti" have Aero kit 3/4 as options ?
2. what's the difference between Aero kit 3 and kit 4 ?
3. "edmunds" says you can't have the Aero package with the Aero kit. Why ???
4. is there a place that explains what the Aero kit 3/4 contains exactly ?
5. which Aero kit do you have: 3 or 4 ?

Can anybody explain what "body-colored side sills" are (found on standard equipment on "infiniti" site) ?

1) I'm pretty sure that they don't want to start offering too many options and driving their dealers crazy. I don't see a need for a rear valance, the bumper comes down low enough as it is. In my opinion, any lower will make the car look fat in the ***. That's not phat, that's FAT! I'd think it'd be ugly, but then again, I'm looking purely at my car and I'm not sure whether my car has a rear valance as part of the kit or not. However, by looking at other's cars, I do not think it does have something in the rear.
2) No clue, I'm not sure what I even have.
3) Edmunds - who cares what Edmunds lists!
4) Is there even two kits? I only think there is one kit, however, whether it comes with 3 or 4 pieces is a mystery to me.
5) Aero Kit - that's all Infiniti sells.

Ok, I just went and looked at my Window Sticker. It shows the Aero package (spoiler and under diffusers) as $550 and the Aero Kit (front lip and splash guards) as a $600 option.

Basically, who cares if it is 3 or 4 pieces, just look at my car. If you like it, just order the Aero Kit and you'll get all of the pieces! Good luck!

I was using "edmunds" and "kbb" pretty much as reliable sources in terms of car prices, reviews, research, etc.

Thanks for all your replies (especially Balzac72 for your detailed answers). When and if I'll order one, I'll do both the "aero" kit and package.
