06 Seatbelt Support on an 05?

I was looking at some pics of the 06 coupe
http://www.infinitinews.com/multimed...35coupe_04.jpg

and I was wondering if we could take that plastic seatbelt holder and put it on an 05 without interfering with the airbag? I hate how the seatbelt on my 05 always rubs against my neck. I wonder if this would break my neck in an accident?

I bet that'll help with the rubbing, and with the "can't reach the shoulder harness!" problem. But it'll be more aggravating for people getting into the back seat, since the shoulder harness can't be moved out of the way any more. If it's like my old 240SX, you'll have to grab the harness and lift it up while doing the limbo into the back seat. Oh, well, one compromise or another.

i wear my seat belt more often than people have to get in the backseat so i don't mind too much.

i wonder how that piece is mounted to the seat.

Am I the only TALL guy who doesn't have a complaint about the current seatbelt configuration? It works fine for me...6'5", seat all the way back and down with a slight tilt back.

Damn sucker seatbelt rubs the collar of my dress/work shirts. If I forget and dont put the collar OVER it, I always get a mark on the left side. BTW, I'm 5'4".

Just got my '05 Coupe and the seat belt is driving me crazy - at least how hard it is to reach back and grab it every time I sit down. Anything ever come of this potential mod?

It would be horrible for rear seat entry/exit, but if you only do it on the driver's side, and only let people in/out of the passenger side, then shouldn't be a problem right?

........................ lift the seatbelt holder all the way up and it will stay there. No more rubbing. I don't really see what the fuzz is all about,

Maybe it is a 'height' thing? I am 6'3" and the seatbelt is just fine, never rubbed. Maybe I'm just genetically lucky?
