gas prices shooting up 15 cents
9/11, Irak, China's demand, and now Katrina all contibute to higher demands and risk on supplies resulting in higher prices. Let's hope the majority buys hybrids/lowering the demand/lowering the gas prices/then I would enjoy the 20Mpg G35 even more. That's our capitalist model.
25% of the US refining capacity is in the Gulf area. What i have heard is that Florida is going to be hurt the most in terms of gas prices since a larger portion of its fuel came from the gulf area than other parts of the country.
GonSpeed...I sure as hell didnt vote for him
Trey's wife...I'm located in one of the least expensive areas for gas, Oklahoma.
MikeyMike...I read that Bushie is considering tapping the reserves now. We'll just have to wait and see...

We have a huge reserve, bush HAS tapped into it before in a Borrowed plan basically. The real hit will be this winter not now. Think about it, the oil production has been halted in that area, BUT this country has a ton of oil that has yet to be refined that is waiting to be turned into gas....What will suck is as that oil volume goes down and the gulf regions inability to put up what it has....
that is why we need to use the reserves....and beat those asshat brokers and traders that are seeing how high they can trade a barrel of oil. You do that you should be hit in the face with a shuvel! Thats what our president needs to do, try and stop that crap from going on, that is going to end up buckling our economy.

No but it is where we get the majority of our domestic oil.
No this morning it was up to a little over $68 a barrel. I think that someone had heard that it _could_ go up to $100 before it was over with. Heard yesterday for every $ a barrel increase you can expect 10 cents increase at the pump.
