Anyone hear this? on the news they said since Katrina hit, the gulf is producing 93% less oil so they think that gas will go up about 15 cents.

 

damn katrina, i heard that oil prices will reach $100 a barrel

 

My friends 400hp C6 gets 27mpg and I only get 15!!! How does that work??

 

I heard as much as 50 cents. Its already up 20 cents here.

Hahaha what a joke. They (media, oil companies, etc) act like the gulf coast is the ONLY place we get oil from.

I wish the president would step in and do something...oh wait didnt him and his family make all their money off oil? Fat chance of that happening i guess....

dude, after buying my G with the increase gas prices almost makes me want to get a honda that gets good gas mileage.

 

i heard that they are gunna have to charge kids a dollar to take the bus due to the gas prices... its just crazy

 

That should have happened long ago.

 

Charge kids a dollar lol; They make plenty of money on % taxes from the gas to cover that kid of junk. Oil is not going to hit $100. People will freak out if it comes anywhere near $90 and there will be a large drop in demand.

No but it is where we get the majority of our domestic oil.

No this morning it was up to a little over $68 a barrel. I think that someone had heard that it _could_ go up to $100 before it was over with. Heard yesterday for every $ a barrel increase you can expect 10 cents increase at the pump.

 

That area accounts for nearly 25% of the production of US oil and gas. With refineries at near maximum operating capacities, this is extremely devasting.
