Can you run a stock exhaust with crawford plenum, headers and cats or is it pointless

My question is I want to get the crawford plenum, headers, and cats but dont really want to add an aftermarket exhaust. i havent been empressed with the sound on any of them. Is it possible to add all of those and keep the stock exhaust or is it just not worth it? Thanks in advance.

I know someone who had this set up and they claimed to feel some gains in the butt dyno.

the exhaust does not improve that much it is the cats that do so yes you will feel a difference

Tim, IMO you'll get the most thorough answers to your question if you post it in the Modifications forum, which I saw you did. No offense, but some of the people browsing the coupe forum aren't really that knowledgeable when it comes to mods, so don't believe everything you read.

And yes, Klumzyee is correct.

The stock exhaust is fine to use with The Crawford Headers and Cats. The Cats are the most restrictive part of the exhaust. I would however, look into changing to a decent "Y" Pipe, one with mesh flex joints. The stock "Y" has crush bends, and the bends are somewhat sharp.

BTW, you'll love the Crawford stuff. I have the full Crawford package with the Invidia G200 exhaust with an "H" pipe.

I'm in the same boat. I really like the stock muffler sound, so I didn't want to go with a full exhaust system.

I added a Gruppe-S Y-pipe and a Japtrix B-pipe with the extension pipe.

Unfortunately, I didn't gain any horsepower from before.

On the intake side, I already had a Crawford plenum, popcharger, throttle body, etc.

My air fuel became leaner after the exhaust mods, so I suspect that I'm maxed out on what the stock ECU can deliver with fuel.

The sound is great though. Like stock, just louder, and really loud with the windows down at WOT.
