Momo shift **** rattle

Anyone else have a rattling problem with the Momo shift ****? For $100, you think it would be made better.

I had rattles with a Sparco shifter. The problem with these types of shifters is that they are not vehicle specific. I kept mine a whole 1 hour before I went back to stock.

No rattles on mine.
It's very snug. Don't see how it could rattle

Did you remove the plastic actuator/stem when you took off the OEM.?

Did you use the plastic bushing that came with the Momo?

The button on top is what rattles. Whenever I'm on the freeway or hit something bumpy it rattles. I think the button on top got loose after a while.

I've got a Momo **** as well and have never had a problem with rattling. Like inTgr8r remove the blue plastic acutator top from the OEM shifter if you haven't done so already or try inserting one of the larger rubber bushings if you can or tighten the mounting screws on the sides. If all that fails, then contact the distributing company you purchased it from. Dealing directly with Momo would be a pain.

Sounds like you don't have it down far enough on the shaft.
Try loosening the set screws & push it down a little more.

But, don't push the **** too far down or else you won't be able to move the shifter. I have the Momo and love it.

LOL..
Yup did that the first time too.

Except mine was just low enough that shifting was OK;
but I couldn't take the keys out of the ignition.

robertc, i got the same problem.. i fixed it by putting the rubber bushing inside that came with the momo shifter.. it was FREAKING annoying for the longest time to hear that rattle.. our cars have enough rattles as it is

Thanks for all your input. What is this rubber bushing you guys are talking about? It's not that really big black rubber piece is it? Cause I thought that was for the manual and if you place it in, then you won't be able to push the button down to shift.

It's a bushing that the setscrews clamp down on.
There should have been 3 or 4 different ones in the package.

Basicaly they're an adapter for different size shafts.
