Does anyone know how to turn on the passenger airbag?

I believe minimum is 40lbs, but not sure....its meant to be able to protect young kids too who weigh like 40lbs and up....like elemntray school sized kids since they can now sit in the front rather than in a baby seat.
Your problem piqued my curiousity so I just went out and checked the passenger side air bag with my 60 lb, 9 year old daughter and can tell you it works just as intended. When she sits properly in the passenger seat, the air bag light goes out. If she gets off the seat, the light goes on. I'm not sure where in the seat the switch is but it does work. you need to get yours checked.
I weigh ~140-145 and have had it go off. I was riding back from the liquor store and had 2 2-liters between my legs. I was kind of squeezing them together so they wouldnt fall in the floor. It went off. I noticed when i sat normally it would come back on. I think the sensor is to the rear of the seat and if youre not putting weight on that youll have the light come one. It not that the sensor isnt sensitive, its just small.
Dont slouch and it will stay on. Have your passenger sit like a human being is supposed to(in a car), and the light will go off. I've noticed this usually happens with chicks in the car, when my friends sit the airbag light never lights up. Like some people said, turn on your car and sit in the passenger seat like you would if you were in the driver's and you will see the light goes off.
