im driving today and all of a sudden the car turns off all the lights in the dash go on and brakes lock and no power steering.. i pull over and restart the car...it worked fine after thatt but wtf was this about??

Wow . . . That is some scary stuff. I trust you get this issue figured out and resolved real soon . . . Be careful.

 

Yeah, its a common thing on the 6MT... Were you still in gear when this happened, and at what speed did it shut off? This is the first I've heard of a 5AT shutting off.

 

Ya its your intake there's a ton of people with your problem who have your intake..

I would take it out for sure.... the panel intake for the G35 is one of the best made. Just put in a Z-tube and a K&N and you will be fine.

 

True but you don't get the cool sound of the CAI

 

noooo i love the sound.. thats y i got this intake..no preformance gains but it sounds so sexy

 

I've beginning to see a pattern here too. I starting to see this happen on AT and 6MT. If you look at the threads in the forum, you'll noticed it happening with both. This doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence in the CAI. Hell, I think I've seen it happen on the Z tube in a few instances (not sure though).
