best mods for better acceleration?

What are the best mods for better acceleration?

I already have a z tube, K&N filter.

Besides the obvious, ie. Turbo and supercharger, what else is out there/.?

I know that exhaust systems improve high-end power right? But what about low end?

Please tell me you are joking. If anyone puts one of these on their G, I will cry and put an add up for my car in auto trader.

The first thing you must realize is that our engines are already finely tuned. I say this in the sense that you can get a Mustang or Camaro and for a few thousand dollars, completely change the way the car performs. Not so with the VQ. You can literally spend $5000 bucks with headers, exhaust, cats, plenums, etc and still not be where you want to be. I cannot tell you the amount of threads I read about people who went FI and kicked themselves for spending all the money on the NA mods. Not saying you should go FI as its not for most. But....don't expect this car to be a domestic muscle car that can be cheaply modded. Good luck....

NOT TRUE! he wants to car to accelerate faster, but anything thats falling will fall at a constant 9.8m/s^2 , lol just felt like adding that.

Anyways you can spent thousands of dollars on simple "bolt on mods". Like High-flow cats/testpipes, headers, ypipe, exhausts, plenum/spacer, intakes. And that will probably get you to 40-60HP to the wheel AT MOST. If your going to drop $5000 on these simple mods, might as well go FI. You will get 5x-8x what you can gain on the bolt on mods. But if your those type of people who want to car to sound mean and aggresive, these bolt on mods will do the trick!

FI is the only way to go if your goal is absolute power. My goal is for a bit more power and a lot more sound w/o any hassles. I'm sticking w/ NA just b/c it's less of a headache. I'll probably end up with a Z tube, plenum, headers, and hi-flow cats. No where near the $5000 mark. Who's spending 5k on NA mods? I need to unload some swamp land.

Oh, wouldn't I need headers and cats a new plenum if I went FI later on?

No...I'm FI with a stock G plus high flow cats (but even that wasnt needed). The NA mods help with additional and safer power, but not needed.

How do you spend 5K on bolt ons? Buy some crawford headers, cats, and plenum. Go get them installed. Buying just the headers and installation is like $2K. Go get an exhaust and get that installed. You want a reflash...send that out. It adds up really quickly my friend. I cant say from experience, but I have seen it done. I just decided to go FI from the getgo.
