$39300 for a 6MT?
$39300 for a 6MT?
I already have a car reserved with Kirkland Infiniti, and was just curious what my local dealer was charging for the coupe these days. I requested a quote from Beaverton Infiniti for a fully loaded 6MT coupe, and was qouted a price of $39,300. This does not include tax (no sales tax in my state), and seems to be higher than the MSRP.
I inquired about this and was told that the price includes protection in the form of wheel locks and NW protection package. Is it me, or does something just not seem right here?

Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
They are bundling the car with stuff you do not need. Essentially, they are charging you $2000 for stuff that costs them $200. Its the same thing as "Dealer Profit" over sticker, but they are disguising as "wheel locks, etc." Forget that dealer. There are a lot out there who will charge the MSRP.

or you can go to <a target="_blank" href=http://"http://www.infiniti.com">www.infiniti.com</a> and BUILD your vehicle to get an accurate MSRP price.
Maybe they quoted you the 2004 pricing? (which is rumored to be slightly increased)

Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
Ouch! Something isnt right! I purchased my G35 Coupe 6MT fully loaded, except for nav, and it came out to a hair under $39k OUT THE DOOR! That included NY state sales tax, title, registration, and all the other little misc fees. Are you sure you're not being a qouted an out the door price? If you're not, somethings wrong! Even if you add on all the extra stuff Infiniti offers for the coupe through the dealer, its still doesnt make sense, unless the dealer has added stuff like the front end clear bra, window vin ethcing, lo-jack, remote start and or an extra alarm, paint sealent, window tinting, extra sets of keys and remotes, etc... I don't know what else to tell you, other than go down and get an itemized list of the vehicles cost. If you go to infiniti.com, and build the car, that will give you a general idea of what it should be. They check in with your dealership and see what doesnt add up. If they're "market adjusting" the price, simply go to another dealerhsip. The Gs a hot car and everyone wants one right now, but its so not the car that needs to be market adjusted by rasing its price $1000 to $3000 which I have seen some dealerships do. Best of luck to you! Read all the fine print and nit-pick every penny! Be in charge of the sale, and you control the table, and not have it the other way around.
Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
Oh, I am not worried at all. I already have a car reserved arriving sometime this month for not a penny over MSRP. The extra cost is for the wheel locks and "NW protection package," which is a paint sealant add-on. There is no way I would pay an extra $2k for that crap.
Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
For reference, I just picked a 6MT coupe earlier this week and paid mid 38k out the door with Lojack, less the protection package.

Why would anyone pay MSRP? Go to edmunds.com or kbb.com and get the invoice price. I would never pay more than $1000 over invoice, even that is stretching it. I told Infiniti $500 over invoice or see you later.
Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
gd, no one wants to pays more than what they have too for anything these days, but it comes down to basic market availability (availability and demand). You see the G is relatively still a new car that has been selling off the dealer lots like hot cakes. Dealers know this, so they don't budge on the cars price. They know if you don't buy it at what they're selling for, which at this stage is pretty much MSRP with the exception of a few main stream dealers who are actually "market adjusting" their prices a few hundred to a few grand up, someone else will come and pay that amount. They also know since the cars not as easily obtainable as most other models (in most cases you have to order one) you really don't have much to shop around with or too. Until the day comes that their lots become full of G's and the demand decreases, we really wont see a major price drop on the G coupe. Its the way money is made these days! Paying $1000 over invoice works great for cars like the Honda Civic which a dealership can sell thousands of a year, or even a month for some, but won't really fly on a limited supply car like the G, and by limited I'm not saying like a handful, but in comparison with some of today's other higher volume vehicles, the G coupe is still not in that category. Nevertheless it doesn't hurt to try and ask, but realistically thinking, right here, right now, you wont get a G coupe anywhere near invoice. Also FYI, most any listed invoice price you see (you as in the general public) doesn't always hold true to the actual list price that dealership got that car. Depending on the model and the dealership annual volume, their list price can actually be more or less than the numbers your looking at. Due to many fare trade acts passed by congress, manufacturers must release these "invoice" numbers, but what they're not required to do is list which dealerships acquire first demand vehicles or the ones that get a break on higher volume. Once again its like any other business. Buy 1000 T-shirts from a company and you'll get them at one price, but buy 10,000 and the price will be lower.
And lastly, if you got your G at $500 over invoice (we are talking about a coupe, correct), I commend you, and just for argument sake, what was that invoice number and what did you pay minus tax....

Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
I bought from Beaverton in November and paid Infiniti MSRP --$35, 055 for loaded 6MT w/o nav or aero. Just tell your salesperson that they should NOT put on the "extras" on your car. You will have an order # for the exact car that is yours before it arrives. This is what I did and they said "no problem."

Re: $39300 for a 6MT?
I just purchased a New G356MT. Out the door price was 38,000 with NAV/SAT radio, aero packed (front & rear spoiler plus side skirts), basically I have all the options available.
I'd say, get a detailed print out of you G35.
Good luck.

My 6MT was $34,915...no spoiler, no nav (just the way I wanted it)...and this was back in Nov when the first shipments came and the waiting lists were months...
