Damn, sorry to hear.

But a $250 deductable?! How high are your rates?! I know that the lower the deductable, the higher the rates. I wish I would only have to worry about paying $250.. thats nothing. Try a $1,000 deductable!

just because you were in a little accident wont mean that your vin will have a accident under it. most of the time people who hit you, the charge goes to them, and you prob wont see this accident on car fax. in a month carfax your own car, and i almost bet it wont be there.

sorry to hear about it, but youll be ok.

My friend in Illinois was hit by an uninsured driver as well. The guy tried to drive away, and my friend chased after him, and then got him cornered in a parking lot. Meanwhile my friend had already called the cops.

He called me up, and then I went over there and took some pics.

The guy's car.

The guy being lead away. He'll be leaving the country...

The damage being in carfax would be dependent on the insurance company entering it in or the show entering it. If it is very slight damage to just a bumper or something, they might not enter it into the system. It wouldn't matter who hit who, except to the insurance company.

yea I guess it depends on the damage.

Its only scratches and paint damage.

I heard if u get it repainted its not supposed to be in the direct sun for the first 3 months??

Will it show how small of a hit it is? Or just say accident, because that could be misleading. a Small hit doesnt mean it was in a major crash they should distinguish how bad it was.
That sucks, man, sorry to hear of the damage.

It should not be an "At Fault" accident on your record, even tho you have to make a claim on your policy to make repairs.

So it should not have any bearing on your record or future renewals.

Well what he cares about is that it will show up on the carfax for his car. He knows it won't affect his insurance, but he is worried about the resale value of the car going down from the accident on record.
