Fuel Economy???

I know this is going to sound really stupid but can anyone tell me if there is a button or something on the dash that tells me approximately how many miles per gallon i am getting and/or the distance to empty????? I do not have navigation so is it possible that i just dont have this feature? thanx in advance.

Hmmm . . . I would give you my Neuron Capacitor speech, but you seem like a nice person.

Unfortunately, only the NAV equipped G's have this mpg option. I just simply do it the old fashion way with my cell phone calculator after I gas up.

Oh, btw . . . I would not trust any sort of distance to empty readings, if it were available . . . Just to be on the safe side. My 3 previous cars had that reading available. I always gas up with 1/4 tank of gas left . . . Just to be on the safe side.

Yep, old fashion way. Fill her up, reset the trip on the odometer, run her until 1/4 left, refill her again, note the gallons it take to refill her, and do the calculation frm the odometer

Thats what I do

I actually waited for it to go all the way to E, and even let the needle go a tiny bit BELOW the E mark, and there were still only 17.3 gallons (out of the 20) put in!

Yes you'd think the G's would have this feature just like my 5th Gen Maxi did, but in our rides, the only way to get that kind of data is thru the optional navi.
Aftermarket navis are a popular choice these days, that would include that feature and many others.

Nav says I'm gettin' around 22-23, but I highly doubt it. I'll have to manually calculate it one of these days. My guess is more like 20-21...

why does the Z have it and we don't? Is it to make Z owners feel better about their interior?
