put ur stock intake back on..if u still have the problem take it to the dealer..

 

i had that problem on 2 of my previous cars, both AT, of course. usually what happened was that, they were all over 100,000 mi, and whenever i brake pretty hard from going about 50~60mph the engine would die. ( it was toyota camry v6, and infiniti j30, btw) for some reason whenever my bro drove those cars, it would do that more, i think bc he accelerate too hard and brake too hard all the time. i took over the cars, drove slower, got tranny flush, and the problem eventually went away.

i was pretty sure that its tranny issue...

ive taken both cars to many many mechanics and they could never figure out what was really causing the cars to do that... what i recommend is tranny flush, and be nice to your car for a little while. its always a good idea to try not to give so much stress to your AT.

 

i am sure it has nothing to do with the intake. i have '03 AT with same intake, and other mods, but never had that problem.

 

Idle at beginning of the day... 1100, then after its warm and going around 5-600ish I would say.

 

i didnt have the same problem but i had one close to it, i had a pop charger with z tube and i was getting low idle as well and my car would acting funny i would hit the gas and the car wouldent go i changed it back to stock and its been fine ever since after looking at my MAF sensor i saw all this oil bild up on it, i didnt want to mess with it and clean it since its working fine but if i get it again im ganan clean it.

 

i would put back my stock intake and bring it to the dealer to have everything checked out.. just tell them the symptoms.. they'll probably recommend a tranny flush just like what somebody already said.. but yeah, i'm guessing it's the MAF as well.. but i've never experienced or heard of this problem with the injen intake on an AT G.. good luck..

 

If they determine that the Injen is what is causing the stalling (and it could very well be the cause), then the dealer will charge you for analyzing and determining the cause.
First check the connections and hoses for leakage and loose clamps. If they're fine check the inlet for obstruction and blockage.
If they are fine, you may want to take off the Injen to see if that's the cause first and then go from there.
Your symptoms indicate a dirty MAF sensor, or a leak/blockage somewhere in the intake system, and not necessarily the Injen (but most likely).

Ummm maybe you suck at reading threads. He says it's an AT pfffttt.
Anyways, most likely your CAI like everyone says. If it is your CAI it's not covered under warranty which sucks.

 

what became of this problem..did you fix it?..cause its happening to me now..

Now, if you read through this thread and another one, you'll noticed almost all the same trend: They have an after market CAI. I can't say for sure, but I would say 90% of them have it. So, if you have one, remove it and see what happens. I amazes me how many times I see these threads and when we find out they have an after market CAI, they are so reluctant to take it off and put back the OEM and will do everything but put back the OEM. Well, it's only an observation.
