loaner cars - your experience

just had to drop off my g35 today to get fixed - it was broken into over the weekend. the loaner car i got from my infiniti dealer was a fairly recent pontiac grand am. it was so freaking dirty outside, like it hadnt been washed in months. also, the inside was quite dirty too. and the inside smelled like a mens locker room! god only knows how many people have used this loaner!!

my question is what do you guys get as a loaner car from your infiniti dealer?

also, the guy told me about 3 weeks til my car is fixed - seems kinda long to me, right? he said he'll order the parts today and once the parts come in it will take about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. oh well.

When I took my car in for Due Bill items, TSB's . . . I got G35 '05 Sedans. The Intelli keys were really nice.

why do some infiniti dealers loan out nice infinitis while some loan out crap? i really dont even care if it's an infiniti, just as long as it's clean, which mine wasnt.

guess i should complain or not worth it?

Loaners

So far I had 3 oil changes, and the loaners were 05 g35 sedan, 04 g35 sedan, and FX35. Can't complain.

Here in Japan my Nissan dealer sticks me with Nissan products, just the smallest they have. Took my Skyline in for a one month check and they gave me a Mango Orange March. Not a bad car, but the color was hideous. I complained, but to no avail. Then at 6 month check, they put me in an orange Cube. I used to drive a Cube, but come on I paid over 4 million yen for my car, why the hell can't they stick me in something a little closer to what I am used to driving. Next time I have to take it in for service it is going to a different dealer to see if I get better treatment.

On an interesting note, Lexus is now selling in Japan. One of their marketing ploys is that when you bring you car in for any kind of service, they provide you with a better car than you are currently driving. Therefore if you drive an IS350, they get you a GS350/450. When the hell is Nissan/Infiniti going to catch on that customer service counts.

Sorry for the rant,

about 90% of the time I get a loaner, the cars are in a total mess. Only once have i gotten a 05 but most of the time i get 03-04 G35 Sedans. Can't complain too much tho, its still a nice car for a few hours.

got the g35x when i took my coupe in to get the rear axle fixed and to replace my head unit. i got 2 minutes away and a giant rock hit the windshield and put a big crack in it. i called the dealer they told me to bring it back, when i did they were saying i had to pay for it. i told them i wouldn't have to use their stupid loaner if my car didn't have all of these problems. i also said that to get something like that fixed for me it would cost like $150 for them to fix it on site would be like $10. after arguing for a bit he just said fine whatever and walked away. when i got the car it was dirty as hell and there were scratches all over the car. i told the guy to take note of them but he didn't care.

I've been driving G35's, I35's, and an FX35 on and off for the last 4 months while my car has been in the dealership for warranty work. In fact, I think I've driven every single loaner they have. They wash the outside of the car, but the interior always smell like a$$. I've gotten pretty good at bringing them back on "fumes". At $3+ a gallon, I'm glad I don't have to return the car with the same amount of gas as when I left.
