Clutch pedal did not release, stuck, and burned some on first gear.

I know some of the seriousness of this thread may have diminished. However, if I were in an situation where I were required to spped up and get out . . . I would cringe to think what might happen if I were to upshift and pop the clutch at an inopportune time. This definitely result in less than desireable results, if not potentially deadly.

My 05' 6M did the exact thing. Reved it to 3K and dropped the clutch. Revs hit the limiter and the clutch smoked. Dealer couldn't find a problem but the car shudders a little during normal take offs. Dealer claims not to know of any problems.
