Question Strange sound coming from the front???

Everytime I start the car and get it rolling from 1st, I hear some kind of sound coming from the front of the car. It kinda sounds like a quick grinding sound but then disappears once the car gets going. It's more prominent after a cold start in the morning. I'm not sure if it's coming from the transmission or front axle. The same thing use to occur in my BMW. My car is an '05 6MT w/ 1280miles. Am I just making a big deal out of something normal?? Any ideas???

Yes, it is the ABS system. It does this as the car reaches some 10 to 12 mph, I think.

Yes... ABS!!! My Lex IS does the same thing. It adjusts itself when you first drive off. Everyone tells me it is normal.
