I think that if you don't overcome a certain amount of tire grip, the LSD is going to kick in to keep transferring power to the wheel with grip and you get your hop.

It occurs more often on asphalt than concrete, right?

got rid of most of it with the replacement of stock rubber bushing to polyurethane and better shocks (Tokico D-specs)

Many thanks for the info guys, I understand it now...and will take it easy on my baby not to hop to avoid damages to the system.
