I heard from my dealer that in '07 Inifiniti will be introducing a hard top convertible G35. Has anyone else heard this.

I doubt it.

But, it is probably a smart move.

I read that too. Doubt it will happen though. But I guess you never really know.

I can't imagine the G being heavier than what it already is.

I agree this is all speculation. I think the magazine even said "rumored".

Nonetheless....I do take any information differently when it comes from Motor Trend Magazine rather than a saleman at a dealership. Doesn't carry that much more weight, but certainly a tad bit more.

Come on now... ...is a convertible really that^ far-fetched?

I don't see how Infiniti would overlook such an option. I mean, the sales to women and/or posers will skyrocket when a loaded coupe skirts 4000lbs for the sake of an open top. It's not that unusual in North America, and Infiniti is just the type of brand to do it. I'm sure it will look nice, and that's about all that the potential customers for such a model will be interested in.

Could happen, but I don't really care. Not a fan of convertibles.

imo, the G wont look good in a convertible. it will lose it's curves like the Z, never looked good with the top up. a hard top convertible would be nice

Imagine if...

Infiniti combined all the features of these cars

- Audi S4 Cabriolet
- Skyline GTR
- Mercedes SL500
- Infiniti G35

and the finished product was a 450whp, twin turbo, AWD, retractable hard top that was stylish and "tuner" ready!!!!!

Ok, im done.
