My H-Techs say "Luxuary Master" on the Box. I have been under the impression that they were mainly for cosmetic's and provided a slightly sportier ride than OEM. The S-techs lower the car more and supposedly are more performance minded.....am i totally wrong here???

Not at all. That's a pretty fair assessment.

I was always under the impression that htat H-Tech were Linear springs. Had to do a little looking to figure it out.

The 350Z H-Techs are Linear F/R.

The G35 H-Techs are Progressive F & Linear Rear. The rear spring rate is too low. This is the same for the S-Techs.

The only Tien spring I would use on a G35 is the 350Z H-Tech. Springs rates slightly more than stock and the drop is modest and looks perfect IMO.

I was told that the oem shocks should be upgrade w/ these springs. Some have not upgrades the shocks and have had no problems. For some reason, the front shock can take the increased spring rate but the rear cannot. Does anyone know why?

No DIY??

No one has posted a DIY?

I just installed S-Techs on Monday evening, took about 2 hours for all 4 wheels. Rented the compression tool from CarQuest for $11.00.

In any case, when your upgrading the springs, it's always a good idea to upgrade the shocks. It has to do with matched damping rates to a givin spring rate. You dont want to get the effect of blown shocks with higher rate springs.

There's a DIY on g-owners.com

Did you only do the springs? No camber kit? I need to install mine one of these weekends. Probably take me more like 8hrs.

Ive had my s-techs on for over a year now and i ahve not yet replaced the shocks. Definately buy the Tein camber kit too. I didnt and now ive been paying for it tire after tire (but i get my tires free of charge so i dont care).

Another great upgrade for suspension parts would be larger diameter sway bars. I never realized how much body roll the car had until i installed the Stillen sway bars.
