G35 sedan rental cars

Does anyone here get the g35 sedan as rental cars when you bring yours in for maintenance? They're a lot of fun. The sedan pulls a lot more than the coupe and it seems like it's faster. Isn't the sedan slower than the coupe?

Any car would seem faster if it wasn't yours and you drove it like you stole it, I am sure if I borrowed your G and floored it everywhere I went, I to would think your coupe was faster than mines.....

No seriously, have you driven the sedan yet? I push my car just as hard as the rental cars. Even my friends can feel it too.

i've driven the loaner G35 sedan and it does seem like it pulls faster but i've never driven my car the way i've driven the sedan.

it does seem that way.. but you gotta remember that EVERYONE abuses the loaners.

so the ECU is set very aggressively.

Pulls a lot more? They are basically the same car and both are within a tenth or two of each other or so in the 1/4 depending on the car and the driver. Nothing you could possibly notice.

on my last visit to the dealer I had to drive a sedan for a loaner and I have to tell ya I did not like it at all. The whole feel of the car screamed 4 door and thats why I sold my TSX for a coupe. Personally I dont like the design of the sedan at all, to me there is no comparison between the coupe. Way more pick up in my coupe than the car I had.

Is the loaner an auto? Do you drive a 6MT? Do you know how to drive a 6MT?

When I was still learning in the 6MT coupe I had a loaner sedan that was an auto (and drove an auto coupe on a test drive) and they felt faster. Why? Because an auto is easy to launch and shifts well placing you in a non stop power range. If you drive a 6MT sloppy they always feel slow--to me anyway. When you nail the shift and it pulls your head back...that is when you are shifting correctly and that 6MT will be faster.
