Does anyone have a +2 year old coupe without RATTLES?

I'm about to trade in my 1 year old BMW for a G35 coupe. The primary reason for me to get rid of it is because all the interior rattles that drive me crazy. That's how I started looking at the G35 coupe since I assumed it's Japanese built so it must have better interior quality.

Then I started doing a little more research on this board, and see A LOT of people complaining about rattles and noises, and it scares me to the point where I might as well keep my current rattle box instead of losing money and jumping into another.

So my question, does anyone have a G35 coupe that's at least 2 years or older that has no rattles?

One off-topic question, I read somewhere that the G35 has this "rear assist" to make it easier for the rear passengers to get in and out, and it's supposed to operate electronically. But I don't think I saw this when I test-drove a '05 G35 a couple weeks ago. Where is it located?

Thanks!

Very hit or miss

I think the rattle issue is very hit or miss.

My wife has a 2003 sedan that has rattled since month one. My 2003 coupe is as solid as I could ever want (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!).

Good luck!

I had my first coupe for about 2 years. The rear view mirror made a vibrating sound but when i had it replaced, my car was rattle free

There are a few areas that are prone to rattle in a G35 but they've all been identified and TSBs issued. The same should apply to your BMW. Have you ever had them try to remove the rattles for you?

all the MB's I've driven don't have rattles. They're like bank vaults.

My G rattles, but that's mostly cause of the tire roar from feathering.

so.... umm.. if you're buying used, mute the stereo, put up the windows, and drive on crappy roads.

None on my 03 after I had the dealer correct the issue with the parcel shelf. I think there is a TSB on that one. All quiet now except when I put my sunglasses in the holder in the roof the wrong way.
