usually it only takes an hour for the acid in the bird crap to eat through the clear coat and leave a "stain". so waiting 2 days before washing it off is a big mistake.
a co-worker has a new 2004 acura tl in their version of pearl white (acura calls it white diamond pearl). it has the same issue of the bumpers being much more yellow in appearance than the rest of the vehicle.
