Sorry to hear as well...just have to be more careful. I kno...easier said than done. Can you take pics of the damage? If it's a bumper dent, you can easily fix it with a heat gun or even a blow dryer.

Blow dryers are awesome.

I spent an hour and 45 minutes after work last night blowdrying my entire car to break up ice and snow on it(at night in 27 degree weather and in the dark, nonetheless... except for a flood-light), because my god-damn car cover finally came in from UPS after they lost it in their warehouse for over a week.

My car was covered in a solid block of inpenetrable ice and snow(snowed all day while I was at work, driving my winter-beater).

Fortunately, I was able to break up and melt all the ice and dry it off with a towel, and now my G-Whip is resting peacefully and dry beneath a brand new California Car Cover.

The public sucks, Fu%$ Hope.

I have it in the shop now. $600 worth of damage because I put a pretty decent dent in it. Its better than going through the insurance company. I should get it back Friday

Welcome to G driver. You survived all the barbs and help on your first post.

Good luck with the repairs.

Gas Pump Pole

Yesterday I was pulling up to a gas pump at an angle, sweeping turn. I did not see the U-shaped post in the ground near the gas pump and as my front end was coming around, I shaved it with the front bottom part of my vehicle. I was so mad! It produced a decent scuff mark on the bumper and part of the fender, I doubt it can be buffed out- probably plastic parts. I swear the post is sticking out too far in the line of vehicle travel up to the pump, and it's so low that it's hard to see and judge. I guess all I can do is determine if it's worth dealing with my insurance and deductable, I may have a 1K deductable here in Louisiana since auto insurance is so high to begin with. Probably fruitless to challenge the gas station legally regarding the placement of their post, but IMO it's too far out in the lane & too low for vehicles like mine turning into the gas pump to see & judge. I yelled an explicative and kicked the post with my foot, so I'm glad I don't have any broken toes or the like! lol I think these gas pump posts are a problem- they should be standardized by height and visual aid- some I've seen have reflective hazard markings on them. This one wasn't even painted yellow.
