MREV or MREV plus?

i noticed partshippers.com sells two different packages with the plus kit offering the modified lower plenum. do you guys think it's worth the extra money for the plus kit?

ABSOLUTELY. I just installed mine last night, and it is unbeleivable! The plus kit will add about 3hp to the top end of the RPM band, atleast that is my understanding anyway. I installed it last night and it is amazing, worth every penny!!

You can get your lower plenum machined yourself, but the hassel of taking it off your car and sending it out to get it machined is just not worth it.

he won't have to take it off. It won't be installed yet.

It doesn't look like there is a whole lot to the "modifed" plenum. They just took some material off the top (exterior or the runner, not interior!!) of thefront runners. You could do it with a die grinder or a small belt sander!

So are choices are:

1.Mrev (5/16 spacer and top half of plenum),
2.Mrev Plus (which adds the machined lower half of the plenum)
3.1/2 spacer with stock plenum (I think some people are just doing this)

Is this correct?

For the additional time, costs and running around . . . Just get the MREV Plus. Why would someone even consider taking the MREV lower collector and have it modified? If so inclined, order the MREV Plus, install it and enjoy. Tony has already done all the leg work and knows what it takes. Why potentially ruin a good thing?

Just get the MREV PLUS... worth every penny. I think it's the ONLY mod that I don't feel guilty about purchasing!

I gained 6hp at the top of the powerband with the mrev(plus) where the mrev seems to lose power. You've come this far, keep going.
