Service Engine soon warning light is on

I have a 04 coupe with about 5,000 miles now. Yesterday when I started it in the morning, there were several warning lights kept on even after the engin started running. I recall they were SLP, VDC and "service engine soon" and maybe couple of others. I then turned the engine off in my driveway and restarted it again, and this time, only the "Service Engine Soon" light kept on. It remaind on for the two trips I made for about 90 miles yesterday.
Flip through the manual, it says this maybe emmission related and might be going away after a few trips. I checked my gas cap, and it was tight and with about half tank of gas. Any one has a clue what this might be? I hope this is nothing serious.

You can either get someone to read the code with a scanner, and then reset MIL for you, or you can reset the ECU to reset the MIL yourself.

If it comes back, have the dealer find out what's causing it to come on.
It's probably a pollution control sensor gone bad.

yeah, I bought it Oct. 2004, and have not driven it much. I don't know if this light usage caused problems like this.

I have 21,000 miles on my 05C and no check engine light so far! Take it in and have the dealer check it out!

the fact you drove to them w/o problems will tell them that your car is probably fine and not to waste any time on it - they'll just reset the ECU and claim they looked at it and it was just a random error, lmao. Avoid teh stealerships when possible.
