Stillen airbox and MAF?

For anybody's whose installed the stillen airbox, do you have to 'play around' with the MAF connector thingie?

I hope I can explain this - right now it goes throttle body -> z-tube -> tube that has the maf connected into it on the right side -> stock air box. Does the Stillen high-flow airbox just remove the stock air box, or does it also remove that tube that the z-tube connects to (and that the MAF is located on)?

I *think* it just replaces the air box and you don't have to play around with the MAF wire, but I want to make certain before I buy it. Thx.

It just replaces the stock air box. During the install, you keep the MAF and attach it to the new air filter through the stillen air box. You don't have to modify the wire connector, but you will have to take it off during the install. Overall it's a relatively easy mod, the hardest part is blindly bolting down the stillen air box at the bottom.

BTW, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR AC LINE CLEARANCE!

my understanding was the a/c line issue only revolved around Injen CAI?

No, not true. I installed the z tube and stillen high flow air box at the same time and had clearance issues w/ my ac line. From what I can tell, it varies from install to install, possibly due to differences in manufacturing tolerances.

In either case, you should at least check. It may save you a lot of cash down the road.
