keep the engine cover on, dealer will never know. also it depends on what you're taking ur car in for.. like if u have a misfiring problem or vibrations i would take it off

I have the spacer and the dealer has never mentioned it. Take a look at this
link if you want additional information on what mod'ing does to warranties. Basically, the "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act" states that the mod has to be proven to cause the particular failure. Go for it!

No problem with the spacer (especially since you're looking at 5/16). The install was fairly easy. Just make sure you have good lighting and a torque wrench.

No Torque wrench used = snapped bolts and studs. Use a torque wrench, you will be ok. I have the spacer installed, took my car in for service last week and ended up talking about some performance things to the guy who worked on my car, and he said, "You know, I hear they make a spacer for the plenum, thats something you can install, and the dealer would never know it was there unless they had to remove the cover." So, there ya go!!

My dealer hasn't noticed it. Only mentioned about my grounding wires which they thought was a good idea.
I don't expect it to be any kind of problem unless it truly was the cause of some warranty problem.
