need help

Today, I found out left engine cover screw broken in half and broken part stuck in the plenum screw hole. I didn't do anything with it.
it looks like the plenum cannot be fixed unless replaced with new one.
I need to install spacer but have to fix this first..

Is that under the warranty..??

Hmmm . . . If you are really careful, you can drill the bolt and use an easy out bit to remove the broken bolt. If you are unfamiliar with this process, I would take it back to the dealer or have someone else do it for you. Good luck!

Unfortuneatly,
My engine cover bolt was bent when I first unscrew and install Z-tube.
I tried easy out/bolt out to extract broken bolt.

I guess $ucking screw didn't come out and make it worse because screw bent and stuck hard in screw hole.

Well, now..
I realize easy-out didn't work out.
I can't even bring it to the dealer.....

you guys think dealer still can fix it ?

BTW Damn screws are so weak.

Oh yeah..
I just parted out upper plenum and tried easy out again.
I put my weight on drill and broken bolt came out. lol

What I learned?
always "hand tighten!!!!!!!!" first

thanks for the info.

Happy New Year
