2006 Projectors on 05. Have uneven gaps? Anyone else notice this?

So I put on my second set of 06 projectors. The first ones were fogging. The second set is fine but now I am experiencing fitment issues.

My left and right headlight housings have different gaps. Maybe I am just being **** but I just assumed that they would fit perfectly like my 05 lights but they do not line up when the bolts are tightened. I tried to wiggle them and line then up but the gap where the hood meets the housing is noticeably larger on the passenger side... I took my bumper off two additional times just to try to get it right but there is no way to get rid of that gap. It's really bugging me so I am going to try it again today... I know I know I am ****...

Does everyone else's fit perfectly???

i have a bit of a gap difference too, it bothers me, but i don't want to have to take off my bumper just yet, i'm probably going to wait until a bulb goes out then bolt them in perfectly

Hey you still have the first pair of projectors with you? BTW...is it a simple plug and play? The 05' ballasts will work on the 06's?

The ballasts are attached to the housings... they are included whether you order just the housings or housings w/ bulbs. They wanted 300 for the bulbs... yeah right. You can get aftermarket colored bulbs for less than that.

I'm gonna post pics tonight on this thread... I tried taking pics last night but it was too dark and the flash was eliminating the view of the gaps.

I am in CA...

Apparently it had to due with shipping or storage of the units because they both fogged. I have no problems with the new ones. I checked and heated them and tried to reseal... didn't work. I wanted to just keep them but they were fogging pretty badly so I just opted to send them back and I waited over a month for new ones. They told be it's back ordered for at least 2-3 months if you pay now for new buyers.

Are you talking about buying them from the Infiniti Specialist store on ebay? If so, he just registered to this forum. https://g35driver.com/forums/lounge-off-topic/80340-just-introducing-myself-board.html

hey, whats going on disco_monkey...hope your lights are o.k. I was unaware of the fitment issue with them. I will call infiniti tomorrow and ask if there are any minute styling changes between 05-06.
